Three questions to answer before ordering.
How often do you use wood?
A few occasional fires and frequent use call for different amounts. Think about your own recent usage; burn time changes with the appliance, fire size and the wood pieces.
How much can you store?
Plan the stack location and leave space for air circulation. Ask about piece dimensions rather than converting the piece count into an assumed stack volume.
How will you transport it?
Check the payload limits of your vehicle or trailer and how the load will be secured. Piece count does not establish the total weight; discuss your pickup plan before collection.
Piece counts and cords measure different things.
Our offers are sold by the number of pieces. They are not advertised as a cord, half cord or another fixed volume. The space occupied by 200 pieces changes with their length and thickness, so an exact cord conversion would be misleading without measuring the stack.
If you are comparing another seller’s bundle, truckload or cord offer, ask what is actually included. Compare species, dimensions, stated quantity, pickup versus delivery and any handling charges. A clear unit makes price comparisons more useful.
Keep your seasoned oak in good condition.
Store firewood outdoors, raised off the ground, with the top protected from rain and the sides open to airflow. EPA’s wood-burning guidance recommends checking moisture with a meter and using wood below 20% moisture. That is a general burning guideline, not a moisture-test certification for our inventory.
